What better way to catch a reader’s attention than having a headline that reads “Sit with cats and sip on coffee at local cat cafe Kitty Cantina.” A kitty cafe in Spokane Washington opened its doors in the midst of the first wave of the pandemic. Former Gonzaga University graduate, Justyn Cozza, who has a love for food and animals, opened the cafe in partnership with SpokAnimal shelter. The cafe provides such a calming environment that Gonzaga students go to visit during finals week as a way to de-stress, have good coffee, and relax with the cutest kittens known to man. Although it has been a little hard during the pandemic, you can even adopt the cats you fall in love with during your stay. The fairly new business is still trying to find ways to keep their kitty cafe different from the rest, hence them always revamping their menu. They even do themed menus week. Being a local business, they are looking for new workers who have barista experience and are great with animals. If anyone needs a break from the everyday stresses of life, find a kitty cafe to head over to on the weekend.
