Clayton New York is everyone’s tourist trap. Little do people pay attention to those who actually live there or those who provide services for the tourists. While growing up in LaFargeville, about fifteen minutes from Clayton, there was always talk of the St. Lawrence River or getting ice cream at one of the many local shops. The docks at Frink Park are one of the hot spots for awesome sunset pictures and swimming. Not only is Clayton known for its amazing water but for its amazing village people, like those I met today while on my twenty minute walk looking at the village wide garage sale. I made amazing friends with people on motorcycles who were touring the town. Clayton is my home away from home. Now that I primarily reside in Maine for college I miss spending my free time seeing all of the wonderful sights Clayton has to offer.
